The Boathouses of Encinitas

Encinitas is a quintessential beach town located 25 miles north of the city of San Diego with an estimated population of 58,014 (as of 2000).  It is comprised of five communities each with their own unique flair: the quaint beach community of Leucadia, the historic downtown Encinitas, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, New Encinitas and the inland ranch land of Olivenhein.

Encinitas was incorporated in 1986 and derives it's industry from tourism and the growing of ornamental flowers. (mostly Poinsettias)
